Action will be taken against forcible conversion: CM

title=SNS | Rampurhat (West Bengal), 11 February, 2015: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said that action would be taken against forcible conversion. Criticising BJP, Banerjee said because of arrogance BJP had lost the Delhi election. She said, "They have missed the Dilli ka laddu because of sheer arrogance. Their condition is pathetic now. They will not even be given the status of the opposition party.” She said it was unfortunate that some people had been forcibly converted.
“Under no circumstances the government will tolerate forcible conversion and action will be taken against the offenders.”Banerjee gave Rs 5 crore for the development of Tarapith. She said she had sent local MLA Ashis Banerjee when the hotels had been closed following an order of the green tribunal.
She said the pollution control board has given clearance to most of the hotels.
She announced setting up of a development authority that will be chaired by Ashis Banerjee and the district magistrate PM Gandhi will be the vice chairman. Schemes will be made for the development of the area with the fund. She also inaugurated several projects. Banerjee held meeting with senior officials of the district and discussed on the progress of some of the key projects.
