Rajen Mukhia slams GJM for pocketing dev fund

EOI, Siliguri, 26 September 2014: TMC hill unit convener Rajen Mukhia in an exclusive interview with Hindusthan Samachar over phone accused GJM leadership of hoodwinking the people of hills. GJM has been practicising corruption in the name of Gorkhaland. Almost eighty per cent of fund meant for development provided by both state and central governments is pocketed by GJM leadership. Following of which people of Darjeeling hills has lost faith on them, peace loving hill people are in favour of development and peace.
He further said that state chief minister Mamata Banerjee has a special reservation in her mind for comprehensive development of three hill sub-divisions. She created separate development board for Lepchas and Tamangs others are in the offing, she want the  establishment of university, medical college and other institution for the hill people, she discovered and developed new tourist destination in Darjeeling but GJM and Darjeeling MP has done nothing so far in the direction of reshaping Darjeeling hills.
 He took the opportunity to slam BJP alleging that the party came to power riding on Modi wave and popular slogan “Ab Achhe Din Ayega” what good they did for the people of hills?
