Alleged blackmailer arrested from Bagdogra Airport
EOI, Siliguri, 26 September: An alleged blackmailer was today arrested from Bagdogra Airport by Raiganj police who used to blackmail girls after making false love affairs and illicit relationship.
Pritam Kundu (31) was arrested just before boarding to New Delhi bound flight from Bagdogra Airport. Pritam was accompanied by a 22 years old 1st year student of Raiganj Surendranath College.
Circle Inspector of Raiganj Police station Kalyan Gurung said that a case was registered against Pritam by a family member of Sonali Mitra at Raiganj’s Itahar police station after Sonali committed suicide on 16th April 2014.
According to police Sonali’s parents alleged that her daughter committed suicide by pouring kerosene oil on her body and set on fire after Pritam started blackmailing to post her objectionable pictures on websites.
After the case was registered at Itahar police station Pritam was missing from Raiganj area. Gurung added that with the tipoff police came to know that he was flying to New Delhi with another girlfriend.
