Golay to bring in real ‘parivartan’ by 2019

SNS, Gangtok, 1 Aug 2014: Although the Opposition, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha did not achieve the desired Parivartan this year, the party President is sure of bringing the real change by 2019.

Inaugurating a new party office here at the Tibet Raod, SKM President P S Golay said: "The mission to bring in change was not only for 2014, it is a continuous process”.

“ If the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) had not splurged black money during the elections, we could have bagged those 22 seats as well. Our party bagged 10 seat in the Assembly and has been able to get public support. We have been able to establish ourselves as the voice of the people against the monopoly of the ruling front,” said Golay.

“On the mandate given to ten of us by the people, we raised various issues and the Government could not clarify on those issues. But the ruling government is aware that they cannot do monopoly, as they are conscious of the presence of the Opposition,” claimed Golay.

“Though the importance of the Opposition is being not understood by the public, recently free education scheme that was announced by the government was a result of the pressure from the Opposition," he said.

With its Head office shifted from Tadong to Gangtok, the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha is determined to work as a strong Opposition for the people of Sikkim.

The party presently functioning under the presidentship of P S Golay will be reorganized within a week.

The frontal organization will be constituted within a week followed by the top level organization of the party” stated Golay, addressing the SKM party workers at newly inaugurated party office.

Asking his fellow party workers to gear up for the Mission Parivartan, Golay said: "The internal differences among the party workers have to ignored and the party men should work in unity. Rather blaming each other for the loss, we should now be more determined and dedicated for our mission”.

He further urged the SKM party workers having political cases file against them should get in touch with the legal cell of the party, which he informed has been constituted for the party workers, With the new party office inaugurated, SKM MLAs of ten constituencies will be available at the Head Office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

People will be able to address their problems to the concerned person directly, he said.
