Drug peddlers arrested

Mukesh Sharma, KalimNews, Kalimpong News Express, Kalimpong, 26 Aug 2014: To curb the drug menace Kalimpong Police has started a drive against drug peddlers.

Within 24 hours 5 people were arrested from different parts of Kalimpong with contraband drugs. Out of 5 three are from NH31A area. Kamal Biswakarma and Raju Chettri of Rangpu forest Busty has been arrested with 68 bottles of Escuf Syrup and more then 200 pc of Spasmo Proxyvon Tablets.
Kiran Chettri of Malli Bazar was arrested with 12 file of Spasmo Proxyvon and 2 files of Nitrogen ten tablets. Arpan Rai of Middle Gumba Hatta was arrested with 18 files of Spasmo Proxyvon tablets while Navin Rai from Novelty Cinema area was arrested with 48 pc of Spasmo Proxyvon tablets.

All accused are booked under section 18(c) and 27(b) of West Bengal Drugs and Cosmetic Act and was produced at Kalimpong court today.
