VOS, 16 July, Gangtok : However the national media and TV are keeping distance from Sikkim which is always happened when crucial problem occur in tiny Himalayan state, they have always kept themselves silent when any problem takes place in this cornered state.

The aggressive student along with public today came down to street since morning in various places around Ranipul, Tadong, Gangtok, Deorali making the highway completely distressed. To sweep away the protesters more forces were used today by administration with full armored battalion of commandos in hefty numbers, more than 60 tear gas was cannoned at picketing places. While the report is being compiled the situation still in underway.
Tense situation have gripped at Tadong, Indira Bye pass, Deorali and capital Gangtok.
The situation is likely to turn more aggressive as the numbers of injured are yet to be estimated today since the entire town is covered up with smog from tear gas, subsequent the level rage against the policing has increased more and more for their barbarism against innocent people and students.
It may be recalled here that students are demanding resignation of SP East Manoj Tiwari who brutally trashed students and moreover girls students were physically manhandled by his order on 14 July.

There has been a vehicle vandalism in scores of places today and attempt of burning IRBn bus. At capital some unknown miscreant have attempted to burn down the police pilot vehicle. There’s also a report of Minister’s vehicle being vandalized during the face off .
Some people allege that whole riot is a pre-planned of SDF government who recently lost crucial 10 seats from East Districts , so to teach a lesson government is using police in all forms to teach the people lesson.
