VOS, 16 July, Gangtok : However the national media and TV are keeping distance from Sikkim which is always happened when crucial problem occur in tiny Himalayan state, they have always kept themselves silent when any problem takes place in this cornered state.

On the third day of bloodshed refuge , the college students have turned more aggressive after their colleagues in hundreds were brutally trashed by the Police and reserve battalion forces (IRBn) on 14 July evening. The students those critically injured are being admitted at two hospitals CRH and STNM, after almost 48 hours keeping silence on deteriorating health of those injured students the protest sparked and finally today both hospital started medical bulletin to  public. The suppression of police on student as mentioned is a consequence of peace protest where-in 14 July they had peacefully protested at their Sikkim Govt College situated at Tadong.

The momentarily police ransacked the students and started trashing without any warrant or magisterial order. Prevailing next day on 15 July student continued protesting where once again violence from police side sparked in teething manner where police and IRBn trashed students as well as cannoned 10 numbers of tear gas to distract the protesting students. During the tear gas exploitation more than hundreds of students were again injured as well as civilians and children.
The aggressive student along with public today came down to street since morning in various places around Ranipul, Tadong, Gangtok, Deorali making the highway completely distressed. To sweep away the protesters more forces were used today by administration with full armored battalion of commandos in hefty numbers, more than 60 tear gas was cannoned at picketing places. While the report is being compiled the situation still in underway.
Tense situation have gripped at Tadong, Indira Bye pass, Deorali and capital Gangtok.
In support for the justice to student’s demand government employees have started pouring in from all departments against the police brutality against the students.
The situation is likely to turn more aggressive as the numbers of injured are yet to be estimated today since the entire town is covered up with smog from tear gas, subsequent the level rage against the policing has increased more and more for their barbarism against innocent people and students.
It may be recalled here that students are demanding resignation of SP East Manoj Tiwari who brutally trashed students and moreover girls students were physically manhandled by his order on 14 July.
Interestingly the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling who is also the Home Minister isn’t in state pass two week, the people have raised a question on his whereabouts at this crucial moment of people’s life an death. Frustrated people and students have started demanding resignation of Home Minister and HRDD Minister for keeping mum in the brutal incident.Its estimated that the bloodshed rioting will continue further since now the school students have joined the cause openly. In several place students from schools have come out on the road for solidarity towards the cause.

There has been a vehicle vandalism in scores of places today and attempt of burning IRBn bus. At capital some unknown miscreant have attempted to burn down the police pilot vehicle. There’s also a report of Minister’s vehicle being vandalized during the face off .
Some people allege that whole riot is a pre-planned of SDF government who recently lost crucial 10 seats from East Districts , so to teach a lesson government is using police in all forms to teach the people lesson.
