Four arrested in Dudhay with firearms

EOI, Kurseong, 28 June 2014:Four persons were arrested Friday night from Dudhay under Kurseong sub-division along with arms and ammunition.

Garidhura police outpost personnel said the four persons were arrested from Shanti Busty with two guns, ammunition and gunpowder.

They have been identified as Kismat Rai, a resident of Sukhaypokhari and Yaden Tamang, Aman Thatal and Rajesh Darjee, all residents of Dudhay.

The four were produced this afternoon at the Kurseong court. Thatal and Darjee were put under jail custody, while Tamang and Rai were sent to two days police remand.

The police said interrogation revealed that the four did not have any links with any political party and were planning to execute a major robbery in the area.
