Police find missing person’s body from Jungle
EOI, Mirik, 22 May 2014: Mirik police today found the body of a missing person hanging from a tree in a forest near Tharbu Tea Garden in Mahadevghat area. Police have identified the deceased as Dipen Rai from Mirik, who had been missing since May 20 from his house.
The family had filed a missing report about him at the Mirik PS following which the police had initiated a search mission. The police have speculated a case of suicide, but nothing has been established yet. The body has been sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in Siliguri for postmortem.
