Two houses gutted in fire
KalimNews, 26 April 2014, Kalimpong: Two houses were completely damaged when fire engulfed them in the early morning of 26 April 2014 in Kalimpong. At around 6.10 am one of the houses at 10.5 Mile near Biralokothi caught fire from its kitchen which could not be stopped and spread within a few minutes.
Everything of four families residing in these two houses belonging to the Diyali brothers were burnt to ashes. Ground floor had a tyre shop, which could be saved with the help of the local people and others. Later Fire fighters of Kalimpong Fire brigade stopped the fire from spreading to the nearby buildings.
