Meeting for preparations of President’s visit

SNS, Gangtok, 6 November 2013: Sikkim’s chief secretary, Mrs R Ongmu convened a meeting today at the conference hall of the state secretariat to review the preparation for the visit of the President, Mr Pranab Mukherjee to the state on 10 to 11 November.
He is scheduled to address the 40th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics & Environment Exhibition to be held from 11 to 16 November at Epica Garden, Saramsa in East Sikkim.
During the meeting, the chief secretary sought detailed status reports from all the concerned departments and instructed the officials to make all necessary arrangements in advance to ensure that everything is in order.
While discussing the detailed programme of the President, the chief secretary took note of the work in progress and the minute gaps to be addressed immediately.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the departments and the concerned officers, it is learnt.
