JMM holds meeting in Dooars
RAJESH PRADHAN, EOI, BANARHAT, 25 Nov 2013: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha today conducted a meeting at Lakhipara Tea Garden chaired by the tribal leader John Barala. The meeting was attended by members of the Panchayat and Panchayat Samities who had won the Panchayat elections from Dhupguri block under the GJM-JMM alliance.
The meeting was also attended by Dooars Gorkha Janmukti Morcha leaders Sandip Chettri and Raju Diyali, and JMM leaders including Peter Minz, Gautam Toppo and Binod Tigga among others.
Barala said the GJM-JMM alliance has performed quite well in Dooars and will perform even better in the upcoming 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He claimed the alliance will further work towards fulfilling the aspirations of people of the region. During his address, he also accused the party workers who frequently change parties for their personal interests, terming them as opportunists.
Meanwhile, Banarhat block JMM secretary Binod Tigga said the members who change their parties are actually running away from their responsibilities. He also reiterated that JMM is working towards further strengthening the party ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
