All party united for Gorkhaland ...MP lama on road march... Kalyan Dewan arrested

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 12 August 2013: In the all party meeting held today it was decided that the movement for Gorkhaland will be supported by all parties unitedly. 
The meeting held in Gymkhana Club and convened by Gorkha Janmukti Morcha at Darjeeling was attended by Communist party Revolutionary Marxist (CPRM), Gorkhaland Task Force (GTF), Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh, All India Gorkha League, Hill Congress, BJP(Hill), Gorkha Rashtriya Nirman Morcha and GJM. It was abstained by GNLF, Hill TMC and CPIM.

For spearheading the movement, it resolved to prepare strategies by forming a joint action committee on 16th August. The meeting also resolved to repeal the GTA in an appropriate time. The meeting also decided to raise voice against the police atrocities and the arrests. It also agreed to support the public curfew of 13th and 14th August.

Police in Kalimpong arrested Kalyan Dewan member of GTA Sabha elected from the Nimbong constituency.He was heading towards Darjeeling for all party meeting near the Kalimpong Police station. Police has not yet declared his arrest. This is the second arrest in Kalimpong.

Last night police had arrested Pranay Thapa, another GTA Sabha member from Kurseong. Thapa a member of Pankhabari Ambotay Constituency was arrested from his home. According to police sources, he was held in connection with an old pending case. 

Further, the police also has arrested Laxman Rai a GJM central committee member.

Prof. Mahendra P Lama has started a Padyatra for Gorkhaland this morning and now on his way to Darjeeling from Siliguri on foot. He will be covering a distance of about 100 km. He is walking along the Pankhabari Road with other supporters of Gorkhaland. He is being welcomed at different places by people and joining the padyatra.

सर्वदलीय बैठकमा गोजमुमो ,क्रामाकपा, अभागोली, भागोप, गोटाफो, गोरानिमो, हिल कङ्ग्रेस, हिल भाजपा पार्टीका नेताहरुले भाग लिएका थिए। बैठकमा सर्वसहमतिले गोर्खाल्याण्डको आन्दोलनलाई एक भएर अघि बडाउँने प्रस्ताव ग्रहण गरेको छ। 16 अगष्टको दिन एउटा साझा मञ्चको कमिटि गठन गर्ने प्रस्ताव लिएको छ। बैठकमा जीटीए रद्द गर्ने पनि प्रस्ताव लिईएको छ। उक्त जीटीए ठिक समयमा रद्द गर्ने सबैले प्रस्ताव ग्रहण गरेको छ। आन्दोलनलाई दबाउँन पुलिसले गरिरहेको कार्वाही प्रति सबैले बिरोध गरेको छ। आन्दोलनलाई अघि बडाउँदै जनता कर्फ्युलाई सफल पार्ने सहमति बनाएको छ।
