New Temi tea packets in retail market
SNS, Gangtok, 15 July 2013:
To expand the reach of the State’s only tea estate ~ Temi Tea Estate ~ Sikkim has introduced new Temi tea packets in the retail market in order to reach to all sections of the society, abolishing the price as an invisible barrier to afford Temi Tea.
The Tea Estate has added a new range of products to its fold by diversifying Temi tea packets in its retail marketing.
The new packets were launched for the grades of Tippy Golden Orange Pekoe and Golden Orange Fanning, the commercial name for the grades being Broken Pekoe and Fine
respectively.
"The trial packets were launched earlier to get a trial and has been launched formally considering great response among consumers,” said the General manager of the estate, Mr Ravi Kumar.
The Chairman of the Tea Board of Sikkim, Mr Gagan Rai, launched the packet formally.
The packet of 200 grams ranges below Rs 100 so as to target maximum customers and expand the reach of Sikkim’s only tea state” added Mr Kumar.
Apart from the launch of less expensive retail packets, Temi Tea Estate is promoting the tea business through more participation of the
public.
This is being done with a view to provide employment opportunities to local youths and people interested in business ventures.
Temi Tea Estate is expanding the area under tea cultivation to meet the ever increasing demand for the traditional flavoured tea.
