54th day - dharna at JANTAR MANTAR , DELHI continues

PR, KalimNews, New Delhi, 21 March 2013: Sit in demonstration of GJM at JANTAR MANTAR, Delhi continues to 54th day. Todays dharna was presided by Diwaker Giri, Organising Secretary Gorkhs Janmukti Vidhryarti Morha. 

After a round of repeated slogans in favour of Gorkhaland, speeches were delivered focusing on the aspects of statehood vis a vis education of youths and bringing to level the literacy ratio of Darjeeling district and adjoining areas by Vikky Thapa, Suraj Subba. 

Speakers focused on the power of women and women power and the role of women and also by Asha Gurung the GJNM President of women's wing . 

Ranjan Sharma , General Secretary of Delhi unit in a press release stated that the GJM will hold a mammoth rally cum protest at Jantar Mantar on 24/03/2013. 

"We have extended invitation to all national as well as local media of Delhi to cover our movement", Sharma said. 

He further added "We also appeal to the Gorkhas residing in and around Delhi as well as people of proposed GTA areas to support us in our native cause and be present in the protest rally in huge numbers. 

We have prepared handouts and pamphlets of the same and approaching all to apprise and convince people about our concern for the cause and its genuineness. We have also prepared a brief overview of the recently published Why Not Gorkhaland pamphlet and we shall be sharing it with the media and bring it to the public domain very shortly".
