Once alliance, GJMM and TMC are looking for middle path to bring current situation under control.
GJMM cannot do anything without the support of State government, where as State govt. has no effective mechanism to control and maintain peace in the hills as proclaimed, both are depended each other.
Desired GTA (Gorkhaland Territorial Administration) on hand, unperturbed GJMM seemed committed in development issues with the blessing of TMC. However, aspiration of the people of hills for separation from Bengal never dies, naturally, in due course of time it has to erupt as situation demand.
Once again, issue of Telengana, spontaneously detonated the Chowrasta incident, reluctantly, between two rift widened.
As the old pressure tactics practiced, series of Bandh program called in, however, announced in a month ahead, has given enough time for bargains. Reciprocating the current circumstances, TMC approved LDC, gives green single to CBI on Madan Tamang murder case, expands its party into GJMM territories. The steps are being taken by both sides effectively, now, who will remain in advantage, controls the fate of people of hills.
In reality, average people of hills desire for peace and harmony not second phase of agitation at any cost, which both parties are fully aware. Public enthusiasm in participation of recent rallies, clearly explains the public interest, beside, hired activists or supporters.
The role of State government is always significant than Central Government in Darjeeling hills due to diverse reasons. State govt. has understood the life line of GJMM, which will now try its possible extent to stop all the funds allocated to hills. Moreover, incisive rough and tough TMC leader is dead against Bandhs & strikes in her state. Engrossed with GTA, unexpected appearance of Telengana issue, GJMM terribly lack the strategies to handle the issue. Therefore, GJMM do not want to quit GTA immediately, unrelenting its supremacy in the hills. Under such circumstances conciliation from both sides is discernible. Consequently, series of bandh and program called by GJMM next month is expected to put on hold for the time being..
