Rahul Gandhi says opposition protest will continue until CEC Gyanesh Kumar resigns
Rahul also said there is nothing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah can do that will stop them.
"We are not going to stop protesting till Gyanesh Kumar resigns. This is a fight to protect the most sacred thing in this country. There is nothing that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah can do that will stop us," he said in a post on X.
In a video attached to his X post, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha said Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, (RSS chief) Mohan Bhagwat and Gyanesh Kumar can do all this stuff, "but we are going to bring them to justice. My guarantee that all four of them will be brought to justice."
"This is all panic reaction, This is all fear. They are going to be brought to justice, mark my words."
"They have attacked the most sacred thing in this country. They have attacked the Constitution, they have attacked the voice of the people and they are going to pay for this," Rahul said while sitting in a bus after his detention and forced removal from the protest site near Shangri-La hotel.
The Congress leader also said every FIR is a "medal on my chest" and asserted that he would continue to fight to protect the Constitution.
Rahul also said there are 45 FIRs against him and his target is 100.
Asked about an FIR being registered against him for entering the Akashvani Bhawan premises and staging an eight-hour sit-in there, Gandhi told reporters after the INDIA bloc lunch here, "I have 45 FIRs against me. My target is that there should be 100 FIRs against me. Every FIR against me is a medal for me."
Meanwhile, BJP president Nitin Nabin on Wednesday accused the Congress and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi of fighting for "infiltrators" and colluding with anti-social elements to create anarchy, while asserting that the people of India would not allow their agenda to succeed.
"I want to clearly tell the people of the Congress royal family today that the princes of your family reached politics from backdoors, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first prime minister who came before the people and whom the people, through their mandate, took to the Red Fort in Delhi," the BJP president said.
Naveen was speaking at a programme organised here to honour Seva Yatra bikers, who had arrived in Kashi from Vadnagar, Gujarat, as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to mark PM Modi's 25 years in public office as a constitutional executive.
"We have seen the way the Leaders of the Opposition in this country are working with anti-social elements to create anarchy in Delhi," Nabin said.
"I want to tell them clearly that whatever their objective and intention, the people of India will never allow their objective and intention to be fulfilled," he said. :::
