West Bengal government reshuffles 17 IAS officers, key changes in civic bodies
The transfers, announced by the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, came into force with immediate effect. Among the prominent changes, Sujay Sarkar was shifted from Commissioner of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation to Commissioner of Textiles and Sericulture with additional charge of Managing Director of Tantuj.
Ravi Agarwal, earlier ADM of Purulia, was appointed Commissioner of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation. Nitin Singhania, CEO of Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority, was posted as Senior Special Secretary in the Home and Hill Affairs Department.
He was also given additional charge as Member Secretary of the Centre of Excellence in Public Management and Course Director of the Satyendranath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre. Dr Rajat Nanda was posted as Senior Special Secretary in the P&AR Department with additional charge of Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat and Director in the Information and Cultural Affairs Department.
Hindole Datta was appointed Commissioner of Asansol Municipal Corporation, while Dhaman Bani was shifted from ADM, Purba Bardhaman, to Special Secretary in the TET and School Education Department. Several ADM-level transfers were also ordered.
Shaikh Ansar Ahmad was moved to Paschim Medinipur, Prashant Raj Shukla to Bankura, Suman Sourav Mohanty to Paschim Bardhaman, Rajesh to Jalpaiguri, Lakshmana Perumal R. to Jhargram, Shinjan Shekhar to Howrah, Archana Pandharinath Wankhede to Purba Medinipur, Manjeet Kumar Yadav to South 24 Parganas, Saurav Pandey to Paschim Medinipur and Ekam J. Singh to Bankura. Priyadarshini S., ADM of Howrah, was posted as Special Secretary in the Consumer Affairs Department.
