CM Suvendu to hold first development review meet with 5 western districts on May 2

PTI, Kolkata, May 15, 2025 :  West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will hold his first district-level development review meeting on May 21, officials said on Friday.

District administrations of Purulia, Bankura, Paschim Bardhaman, Birbhum and Purba Bardhaman will attend the meeting, they said.

The Chief Minister's Office has already communicated the details of the meeting to the respective district administrations, they added.

District authorities have been asked to submit comprehensive reports on the status of ongoing development projects, including details of schemes under implementation, progress achieved so far and projects facing delays or slow execution, officials said.

Senior officials of the districts held meetings to review the required documentation and project updates after receiving the CMO's communication, they said.

From Saturday, district administrations are expected to hold meetings with the newly-elected MLAs in their jurisdictions to gather proposals for development projects, they added.

Officials have been directed to prepare a consolidated list of suggestions and priority works proposed by the legislators for presentation during the review meeting.
