The flight, 6E 6894, arrived in Kolkata from Dibrugarh, when the bomb threat note was found. Interestingly, the bomb threat note written with lipstick was recovered from the aircraft's toilet.
The flight landed safety at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at 7.37 pm and was moved to the isolation bay for security inspection. All passengers were deboarded safely.
The earlier Shillong-bound flight, 6E 7304, also had a similar bomb threat note recovered from the toilet by one of the crew members around 9.15 am, around 15 minutes before departure. The passengers were evacuated immediately and shifted to an isolation bay for detailed checking.
It later turned out to be hoax and the flight left for Shillong around 1.30 pm.
