Woman Files Molestation Complaint, Suspects One Accused is 2012 Park Street Rape Convict

MP, 29 Oct 2025, Kolkata: A woman has filed a complaint at the Bidhannagar South Police Station alleging molestation and assault by two men during a party. The woman also expressed suspicion that one of the accused may be a convict in the infamous 2012 Park Street gang rape case.

According to sources, on the night of October 26, the woman, along with her friends and family, was attending a party at a nightclub inside a five-star hotel. It is alleged that an altercation broke out between the accused duo, identified as Nasir Khan and Junaid Khan, over some issue, after which she was molested.

Later, the woman lodged a complaint with the Bidhannagar South Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and began an investigation. Police officials stated that the woman suspects that the man identified as Nasir Khan could be the same individual who was convicted in the Park Street gang rape case in 2012, along with a few others.

However, authorities are still investigating whether Nasir Khan is indeed the same person convicted in the earlier case. A senior official from the Bidhannagar City Police said, “The woman raised a suspicion about the identity of one of the accused being the convict of the Park Street gang rape case. However, we are yet to ascertain the facts.”
