Murder Charge Filed Against Zubeen’s Manager and Festival Organizer: Police

MP, 2, October 2025, Guwahati: Assam Police have invoked a murder charge against Zubeen Garg’s manager, Siddharth Sharma, and festival organizer, Shyamkanu Mahanta, in connection with the singer’s death in Singapore last month, according to a senior officer. The two individuals were arrested in Delhi on Wednesday and subsequently brought to Guwahati.

Munna Prasad Gupta, the Special DGP of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Assam Police, informed reporters that the interrogation of the two arrested persons is currently ongoing after a court remanded them to 14 days of police custody.

"The investigation is ongoing, and I cannot share many details at this moment. However, we have added Section 103 of the BNS in the FIR," Gupta stated. Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) addresses punishment for murder.
