Tragic Death of Housewife in Murshidabad: Unable to Repay Loan, Woman Jumps Under Moving Train

The incident occurred on the railway line between Nimtita and Sujanipara stations in the Kayadanga Notunpara area of Suti on the morning of February 13, 2025.

Renu Bibi, a mother of four, was reportedly struggling with family unrest caused by her inability to repay a bond loan installment. According to sources, the constant pressure from the unpaid loan led to her mental distress. On the morning of the incident, she tragically decided to take her life by jumping in front of the moving train around 9:30 am.

Police from the Suti Police Station and railway officials arrived at the scene shortly after the tragic event. Authorities confirmed that the impact of the train resulted in her body being severed.
