Subhendu Adhikari Targets Trinamool Government in Alipurduar Campaign
Don't Miss
Baby Chakraborty, KalimNews, November 3, 2024, Alipurduar : During a campaign rally in Madarihat for the upcoming by-election on November 13, opposition leader Subhendu Adhikari launched a scathing attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) government. His remarks came in the wake of recent incidents that have raised concerns over public safety in the region.
Addressing a gathering of supporters, Adhikari stated, “In Bengal, the keeper is the eater. You will not find this anywhere else in the world. From Gorkata to Falakata, incidents of violence and insecurity are rampant. Women are not protected in Bengal. I urge you to express your dissatisfaction in the ballot box.”
The comments were made against the backdrop of escalating tension following a recent incident involving the tragic death of a young girl, which has left the local community outraged. Family members of the victim were visibly emotional upon seeing the MLA, highlighting the community’s anger and grief. In response to the unrest, villagers in the Jateshwar area staged a roadblock to voice their frustration over the ongoing security issues.
BJP MLA Deepak Barman visited the family of the deceased girl to offer his support, further emphasizing the party’s commitment to addressing the community's concerns. The situation in Alipurduar has intensified scrutiny of the TMC government's handling of law and order, with Adhikari and other BJP leaders calling for accountability and reform.
As the campaign for the Madarihat assembly constituency heats up, the BJP continues to rally support, promising to address the safety concerns that have plagued the region. The upcoming by-election is seen as a crucial test of political strength, with both the BJP and TMC vying for voter support amid a climate of rising public discontent.
