Union Home Minister Amit Shah Condemns Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants, Vows Tough Action

Baby Chakraborty  |  KalimNews | September 21, 2024 | New Delhi  :
India's Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a strong statement regarding illegal Bangladeshi immigrants during a BJP election rally in Jharkhand. Addressing the public, Shah issued a stern warning, saying that every illegal Bangladeshi infiltrator would be dealt with harshly if the BJP forms the government in the state. In a fiery speech, he declared that Bangladeshi illegal immigrants would be "hung upside down" as part of the party's hardline stance on immigration.

Speaking to a large crowd, Shah called on the people of Jharkhand to support the BJP in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need to protect the state's tribal population and combat what he described as an "infiltration crisis." He specifically addressed concerns about the changing demographics in Santal Pargana, a region in eastern Jharkhand known for its large tribal community.

Shah highlighted the sharp decline in the tribal population, stating, "This land belongs to the tribals, but their numbers have dropped from 44 percent to 28 percent, while the number of infiltrators continues to grow." He further accused opposition parties like the JMM, Congress, and RJD of using illegal immigrants as a vote bank, claiming that these parties were prioritizing the welfare of "squatters" over that of the native population.

The Union Home Minister's remarks echoed long-standing concerns raised by BJP leaders about illegal immigration, particularly in border states and districts with significant tribal populations. Shah's speech also included an alarming anecdote in which he claimed to have heard slogans such as "Hindus must leave Jharkhand" being chanted in Pakur district, further fueling his call for decisive action against infiltrators.

Shah also took the opportunity to criticize the ruling coalition government in Jharkhand, led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing it of being the most corrupt administration in India. "This government is not focused on public welfare but is entirely engaged in corruption," Shah asserted, alleging that the state's resources were being mismanaged under Soren's leadership.

Amit Shah’s comments come as the BJP ramps up its electoral campaign in Jharkhand, a state that has seen frequent political volatility. His tough stance on illegal immigration is seen as part of a broader strategy to consolidate the BJP's base, particularly among the tribal communities and those concerned with national security. Shah's rhetoric at the rally has sparked significant debate, with both supporters and critics reacting strongly to his promises of aggressive action against illegal immigrants.

As the elections approach, the issue of illegal immigration is likely to remain a key talking point, especially with the BJP positioning itself as the party capable of restoring law and order and protecting the rights of the indigenous population in Jharkhand.
