Baby Chakraborty, KalimNews, September 16, 2024, Kolkata: Junior doctors have been summoned for another meeting with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at her Kalighat residence on Monday afternoon. The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m.
On Monday morning, the junior doctors received an email from Chief Secretary Manoj Pant informing them of the meeting. The email, sent at 11:48 a.m., described this as the government's fifth and final attempt to address the ongoing issues.
The call for the meeting follows ongoing protests by the junior doctors. After consulting among themselves, the doctors have decided to attend. Representatives who had previously met with officials at Kalighat on Saturday have been asked to return for this additional discussion.
The meeting aims to resolve the ongoing tensions and address the concerns raised by the junior doctors.
