Empowering Women: Kalimpong Police Launches Self-Defence Workshop

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 September 2024 : In a significant initiative to enhance women's safety, Shrihari Pandey Superintendent of Police, Kalimpong, officially inaugurated the "Aparajita" Self-Defence Workshop today at Birla House. The event was organized by the District Police to empower women and girls by equipping them with essential self-defence skills.

Participants engaged in hands-on training sessions led by a team of expert martial artists, focusing on practical techniques designed to help them defend themselves in emergencies. This workshop is part of a broader initiative aimed at fostering confidence and preparedness among women and girls in the community.
