As part of the conditions of his release, he is required to stay in France and report to a police station twice a week until the investigation concludes.
The French legal system, which is managed by special magistrates with extensive investigative powers, has announced these charges before the completion of evidence gathering. Such charges may be dropped if they cannot be substantiated, as per Russian Media report.
