Votes come and go but roads are never constructed
YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, APRIL 30, 2024 : Votes come and votes go and villagers are used as vote banks, but common people complain that the five-km long road from Cuahtara Danra, Ghanti Danra, Lower Ghanti Danra to GhisKhola in the Nimbong Gram Panchayat area has not been constructed till today.
The excavation for the construction of the road under Jawahar Rojgar Yojana and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act had started but the road has not yet been completed. Had the road been completed till river Ghis, Gorubathan block could easily have been connected.
