NH 10 closes again for another 48 hours on 13 and 14 April for urgent work of protection against landslides

Local administration has issued restriction order in the movement of all type of vehicles in NH 10 for 48 hours starting from 6 am of 13 April to 6 am of 15 April.
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 11 April 2024 : In order to continue the protection works along the NH 10, this road will be closed again for two days. District Magistrate of Kalimpong has issued a restriction order stating that the NH 10 will be closed on 13 and 14 April for urgent works of protection against landslides. 
Restriction in the movement of all kinds of vehicles in NH 10 is imposed for 48 hours starting from 6 am of 13 April to 6 am of 15 April, Balasubramanian T, the District Magistrate of Kalimpong in his order dated 11 April 2024 in an order states.
The DM has directed to restrict and divert temporarily the movement of all types of vehicles in the NH 10 stretch from Rabi Jhora to 29th Mile on and from 06.00 hrs of 13 April to 06.00hrs of 15 April 2024. 
He has issued the circular in exercise of the power conferred U/S 115,, U/S 116 (1) (a), UIS 122 and U/S 126 of Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 and in continuation of Order No. 16 /MV dated 24 March 2024. 
District Magistrate and Collector of Kalimpong in his order no. 20/ MV dated 11 April 2024 has also stated that the stretch at Rabi Jhora and Likhu Veer along NH 10 has been damaged due to recent heavy rainfall, and an order of restriction/diversion of movement of vehicles along NH 10 vide order No. 16 /MV dated 24 March 2024 is already in force. 
In continuation with that further imposing of temporary restriction of traffic is needed for urgent work for protection against landslide to be carried on by the Public Works Department of the Government of West Bengal in the said stretch.
The District Magistrate has stated that the movement of all types of vehicles in the NH 10 stretch from Rabi Jhora to 29th Mile is restricted and diverted temporarily on and from 06.00 hrs of 7 April 2024 to 06.00 hrs of 9 April 2024. And the diversions arrangements made are:
(1) Vehicle Restriction:
Movement of all type of vehicles are restricted from Rabi Jhora to 29th Mile via NH 10 from 06.00 hrs, 13 April 2024 to 06.00 hrs, 15 April 2024
(2) Alternative Route/Traffic Diversions:
1) Only small vehicles will move from Rangpoo towards Siliguri via Munsong- 17th Mile - Algarah- Lava - Gorubathan and to Siliguri and vice versa round the clock
2) Small vehicles will move from Melli Bridge -Chitrey- Kalimpong town Algarah- Lava - Gorubathan and to Siliguri and vice versa round the clock.
3) Goods Vehicle will move from Melli Bridge - Chitrey- Kalimpong town Algarah- Lava - Gorubathan and to Siliguri and vice versa from 21.00 hrs to 06.00 hrs.
4) Goods vehicle and small vehicles will move from Reshi - Pedong- Algarah -Lava - Gorubathan and to Siliguri and vice versa round the clock.
Necessary restrictions at Rangpoo Check post, Chitrey and at District border- NH - 10 stretch shall be imposed by police (Traffic) for facilitating the route diversion.
