Woman and son held for killing daughter

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 March 2024 : A mother and her son is arrested on suspicion of killing her daughter. A written complaint from Pranit Prasad a resident of Hat bazar gate of Kalimpong stating that at about 06:30 am he heard about his friend's sister has died when he had been to the house of his friend, Manish to help him, he found the dead body of his friend's sister Muskan Shah. 

Police said that from the people of the area it was learnt that Manish Shah's Mother Rina Devi and Manish shah are accused of killing Muskan Shah, her daughter by strangulating her. Kalimpong Police has started a case no. 40/24 Dt 20/3/24 u/s 302/34 IPC. 

During enquiry it has been found that a hot altercation and scuffle took place between the deceased and her mother and brother and both of them strangulated the daughter and killed her.

The mother Rina Devi (42) wife of Manoj Shah and the brother of the deceased Manish Shah (22) have  been arrested.

Police is making further investigation is going on the motive of details. It is also come to know that the deceased had appeared in higher secondary examination held recently from a reputed school and some days ago her boy friend had taken his own life and after that she was mentally distressed.
