11 year old youngest Professor visiting Bodoland university

KalimNews, 16 February 2024 : Soborno Isaac Bari, the 11-year-old Math Professor will be in Assam at Bodoland University on Feb 18. He will be meeting the students coming from about 60 colleges affiliated to this university as well as university students during a four days Inter College Youth Festival started from 15th February. He will interact with the students of the colleges and Bodoland university located in Rangalikhata, Deborgaon.
On 19th he will speak amongst the school students in presence of some distinguished guests, teachers and scholars at Kokrajhar. The administration of Bodoland Territorial Council has arranged for the visit.
Soborno Isaac Bari is an 11-year-old brilliant boy. Born on April 9, 2012, in New York, Soborno is a Bengali-American prodigy and has authored the book called 'The Love' in which he has tried to demolish the prejudice and hatred that stems out from religious differences and biases.
Suborno completed 10th grade in Malverne High School and presently is in 12th grade.
In 2000 his father Rashidul Bari moved to America from Bangladesh and worked as a Darwan till 2015. Rashidul married Shaheda in 2002 and had been living in New York with two sons Soborno and Aporbo.
Bari family
Bari family were so financially strapped that they were unable to afford three meals a day. It took his wife Shaheda 15 years of hard work and sacrifice to save enough money for her husband’s college fees; she even sold her hair. As a direct consequence of this, he was employed in the security industry.
During this period, Rashidul held five degrees of bachelor’s and two master’s degrees from a variety of American colleges. Rashidul received CRISP scholarship from New York University and Rashidul now 44, is teaching mathematics at a university in the US. He is also doing a doctorate degree at Colombia University.
Presently Suborno Isaac is the World's Youngest AIME Qualifier in US Math Olympiad. Soborno is the recipient of the ‘Global Child Prodigy Award’ from Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi. At the age of 4, Soborno had received recognition from former President Barack Obama for his accomplishments in math and science.

In 2018, when Soborno was just 6 years old, had received recognition from Harvard University for his problem-solving abilities and was accepted into New York City’s gifted and talented programme and was recognized as a scientist.
After he won the Child Prodigy Award in 2020 as a scientist, Ruia College of Mumbai University appointed him as a scientist and visiting professor of Physics. He started showing exceptional skills and showing signs of sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) when he was just one year old and at 6 was solving higher mathematics and physics problems easily and is also known as the ‘Einstein of our time.’
Bari makes appearances at universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he teaches both physics and computer science. In addition to this title, Bari holds another record for the world's youngest mayor, where he has been appointed in Little Bangladesh, Los Angeles.
The little professor teaches computer science and physics at MIT. At such a young age, he also writes programs for the space station robots of NASA. Soborno went to Washington for an interview and he answered some Phd level questions there. That interview went viral and he became an internet sensation at that time.
His father has stated that my child understands the concept even though it was not presented to him in any form. When the bright child reached 4, he was given a letter of congratulations from former President Barack Obama for his accomplishments in the fields of mathematics and science. At this age, he was able to find solutions to the most challenging issues in mathematics, chemistry, and physics.
According to Bari, from the age of between one and two years, he developed a passion for Maths.
At the age of two, Soborno gave an interview at Voice of America, during which he answered questions on chemistry as if he were a Ph.D. student.
"I don't think it was an ability but a passion. My father was a Maths student, he was writing all these equations on the blackboard, and I would be wondering what do they mean?", said Suborno.
He said, one day, he mustered enough courage to copy all the symbols.
"My father caught my fascination, and he started teaching me Maths and science. I developed a desire to experiment to observe, to see how things worked. So I eventually learned more and more until it blossomed. Now people see it as a talent, I see it as a passion," Bari said.
Bari said passion got him where he is now. "I believe every child was born a genius. Every child has a hidden talent. It's okay to be not good at something. I am not very good at art. There are some things I am good at and some things that I am not so good at," he said.
According to Bari, talent needs to be discovered and nurtured by teachers. "You need to find what you like doing. For me, that was Maths and Science, not other subjects.
"I think I was born as sort of a genius in terms of maths and science. That is normal. Every child is born a genius. There are probably a million more just like me. They didn't have a good teacher or good environment, and that is what is needed to enable them to get a good education to unravel their talent," he said. He said he feels honoured that he is the youngest professor, but he would like to remind people that age is just a number.
"People tend to think that age is dictating what your skills should be, what is your social status. Age dictates the time you were born, nothing else. I honestly have no regard for my age. Your age doesn't determine your skills. It's how well your teacher teaches," Bari said.
Bari said to harness the skills he studies and sometimes solves mathematical problems.
