IPR, EOI, GANGTOK, JANUARY 5, 2024 : Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang along with Assembly Speaker Arun Upreti, Cabinet Ministers Kunga Nima Lepcha, Sonam Lama, B. S.Panth, Mingma Norbu Sherpa and Bhim Hang Limboo called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday at North Block, New Delhi.
The Chief Minister apprised the pressing issues of Sikkim regarding tribal status to 12 left out communities, reservation of seats for Limboo -Tamang Communities in the State Assembly and the visit of Golay asks Amit Shah for early resolution of pending issues of Sikkim Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje to Sikkim. The Chief Minister requested for early and expeditious resolution of these long pending issues by the Centre.
The Union Home Minister listened patiently and assured that these issues of Sikkim would be considered favourably.
