Several injured in pile-up of 3 vehicles

EOI, SILIGURI, DECEMBER 27, 2023 : Several people were injured in a pile-up between three vehicles at Jiaganj on the Siliguri – Jalpaiguri highway on Wednesday.

A government bus was en route from Cooch Behar to Siliguri via Jiaganj when a car approached it from the opposite direction, causing the driver to bring the bus to an abrupt halt.

The car also stopped.

At the moment, a petrol tanker hit the four-wheeler from behind, causing the car to collide with the bus.

The car suffered severe damage. Several passengers of the bus also suffered injuries. Policemen from the NJP Police Station and the Fulbari traffic outpost rushed to the spot.

The injured were taken to a private hospital in Fulbari.
