Jagali, son of a retired cop of Karnataka police, was picked up from his Vidyagiri house in the district headquarters town of Bagalkote late on Wednesday night
Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, TT, New Delhi, 22.12.23 : Delhi police have taken into custody a software engineer from Karnataka in connection with last week’s security breach in Parliament, sources said on Thursday.

“We have detained Sai Krishna Jagali, a techie employed with an MNC in Bangalore, in connection with the December 13 security breach. He has been brought to Delhi and is being questioned,” said an official of Delhi police’s special cell.

The official, however, declined to comment on Jagali’s role in the incident.

Jagali, son of a retired cop of Karnataka police, was picked up from his Vidyagiri house in the district headquarters town of Bagalkote late on Wednesday night.

“Jagali is a friend of D. Manoranjan, one of the arrested intruders who had trespassed into the Lok Sabha chamber and sprayed yellow smoke from a canister,” said the police officer, adding Jagali was also Manoranjan’s roommate during his college days.

Remand extended

A Delhi court on Thursday extended the police remand of Manoranjan, Sagar, Neelam and Amol for another 15 days till January 5.
