Nargis Didi, bike theft gang apprehended

EOI, Siliguri, 21st November 2023: In a significant breakthrough, the Matigara police station has busted the Nargis Didi gang involved in the theft of bikes in Siliguri and has apprehended the mastermind of the gang along with her accomplice.
The arrested mastermind has been identified as Nargis Khatoon alias ‘Didi’ and her accomplice as Santosh Sahni.
A stolen two-wheeler has also been seized by the police. According to reports, on the Chhath Puja day a motorbike was stolen from Salbari Chhat Ghat. Following this, a complaint was lodged at the Matigara police station.
Investigations led to the arrest of Santosh Sahni. In the course of his interrogation, the name of Nargis Khatoon alias ‘Didi’ surfaced.
She allegedly functioned as a dealer of stolen two-wheelers. Subsequently, on the basis of the statement given by Santosh, the main accused Nargis was arrested.
On Tuesday, both the accused were produced before the Siliguri Court on Tuesday. Police is making further detailed investigation of the entire case.
