Wife and boyfriend held for killing of man

PRASHANT ACHARYA, EOI, SILIGURI, SEPTEMBER 17, 2023 : Tension mounted at Hansqua Tea Garden in Bagdogra on Sunday after the body of a man was recovered from a well. The police detained man's wife and her lover for allegedly killing the man and throwing his body inside the well.

Local residents informed that Nabin Kumar had been missing since Friday and his three children were searching for their father. 

On Sunday, Nabin's elder daughter saw the body floating on the water inside the well when she had gone to fetch water.

Soon villagers reached and took out the body. The hands and legs were tied with ropes and marks of injury were found in the body. 

A sharp weapon was also found hidden inside the room of the house with blood stains. Soon the angry villagers started attacking the wife of the deceased and her lover and former boyfriend.
