CM Biren Singh distributes Financial Assistance for Children's Education
KalimNews, Imphal, September 24, 2023: In a significant move to support the education of children in need, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh distributed one-time financial aid to beneficiaries who are the offspring of labor card holders currently residing in relief camps. The distribution ceremony took place at the Chief Minister's Secretariat and was coordinated by the Manipur Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board.
Under this initiative, each beneficiary received a sum of Rs. 5000 as one-time financial assistance from Chief Minister N. Biren Singh himself. Following the distribution of financial aid, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh engaged in meaningful conversations with the beneficiaries, gaining insights into their concerns and needs. He reassured them of the government's commitment to supporting the welfare of those affected by recent incidents of violence in the state.
The event was graced by the presence of Water Resources Minister Awangbow Newmai, Chairperson of the Manipur Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board K. Saratkumar Singh, along with other dignitaries and officials.
As part of this special scheme, families possessing a valid labor card and currently residing in relief camps established by the Manipur government will receive a one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5000. This initiative underscores the government's dedication to ensuring that the educational needs of vulnerable children are met, offering them a brighter future.
