The issue of snatching/looting weapons from different police stations have also been raised to the Governor by the delegation.
Governor while welcoming the delegation said, political parties, cutting across party lines, need to cooperate with the government in bringing an amicable solution to the ongoing conflict.
She said, violence will not bring any solution and therefore several appeals have been made to the two communities to shun violence and move forward for talks. Governor continued that incidents which claimed many valuable lives are unfortunate and all have to be united to end this conflict.
Acknowledging their concerns, Governor said, she had visited many relief camps in both hills and valley districts and the State administration has been asked to provide all essential requirements including foods, medicines, clothes etc. to the IDPs and efforts will be made further to ensure availability of all requirements of the people.
Governor informed the delegation that she personally met Prime Minister and other Central leaders and urged them to find ways to end the conflict at the earliest possible time.
