Manipur CM meets Union Home Minister in Delhi, 15 member COCOMI team also meets UHM

Biren Singh along with his
cabinet colleague including
the Speaker of the Manipur
Legislative Assembly Th.
Seityabrata and President of
the BJP Manipur Pradesh, A.
Sharda Devi have left Imphal
for New Delhi today morning
to meet the Union Home Minister
Amit Shah in a charter
flight.
A team of Coordinating
Committee on Manipur Integrity
(COCOMI) including its
Convenor Jeetendra
Ningomba had also left for
New Delhi after being invited
by the Union Home Minister.
The Chief Minister along
with the state president and
other Minister were reportedly
summoned by the Union home
minister Amit Shah.
The Home
Minister is likely to meet the
Manipur Chief Minister and
the State BJP President at
evening today to discuss the
ongoing issue in the state of
the Manipur.
This meeting holds immense
significance as it comes
just days before the Assembly
Session in Manipur. The
Manipur assembly session is
slated to begin on August 29.
A 15 (fifteen) member
COCOMI had also left for New
Delhi today morning. The team
of the COCOMI was invited
by the Union Home Minister
through BJP National spokesperson
Sambit Patra.
The
COCOMI team is likely to meet
the Union Home Minister at 8
p.m. today evening. Before
meeting the COCOMI the
Home Minister will hold meeting
with the Chief Minister N.
Biren Singh and his cabinet
colleague and State BJP President
A. Sharda Devi.
In a statement the
COCOMI had stated that they
have prepared for the meeting
with the Union Home Minister.
It said that the COCOMI
will also try to meet other Central leaders while at the National
Capital.
In a statement issued yesterday,
the COCOMI appealed
to the people to continue safeguarding
the unity and integrity
of Manipur from Kuki
narco-terrorists who intruded
into the State and demanded
separate administration for
their kindred tribes and against
other threats.
