Fake call centres busted in Siliguri

EOI, SILIGURI, AUGUST 11, 2023 : The Special Operation Group of Siliguri Metropolitan Police, Cyber Crime, and cops of Matigara Police Station, in a joint operation, on Thursday exposed fake call centers running in Phase-2 of Webel IT Park in Siliguri.
Three people, including the manager and caretaker, were arrested. It has to be noted that, on Thursday, the Siliguri Metropolitan Police, acting on a tip-off, launched an operation in Phase-2 of the said IT Park.
In an investigative operation that lasted for several hours, three illegal call centers were busted on three floors of the Phase-2 establishment. The police also seized several documents, computer, and CPU.
