Manipur's Senior Citizens' Club, strongly condemns the ambiguous statements of CM of Mizoram

KalimNews, Imphal, 12 July 2023 : Senior Citizens' Club, Manipur strongly condemns the ambiguous statements of Mr.
Zoramthanga, the Chief Minister of Mizoram, expressing in his twitter sometimes regarding Greater Mizoram, then again Zo- unification and sometimes again about Kuki Zalangam.
The Club opines that it would have been better and more sensible for Mr. Zoramthanga, being a Chief Minister of a state, if he instead after a careful thought process wrote about the real causes of the present Manipur crisis and its pragmatic solutions. His one sided worries about the Zo victims only clearly shows his communal mindset.
The present Manipur crisis is the result of the unlawful aspirations and demands of a separately administered area in Manipur by the Kuki refugees/ foreigners who have been expelled by Myanmar and Bangladesh for their evil designs.
After their ultimate defeats in Myanmar and Bangladesh these Kuki goons are dreaming of a separate homeland/ administered area in Manipur which is a multi-communal peaceful society that have been existing for a long time and this same after action is ultimately challenging the territorial integrity of the state of Manipur.
These same Kuki terrorists who are armed to the teeth with sophisticated weapons are attacking the Meiteis only for their legitimate stand/opposition against their unlawful designs/acts.
In the action, they are torturing and killing those hapless Meiteis settled at the outskirts and burning down their homes and also attacking the modesties of their womenfolk especially in Moreh, Churachanpur and Kangpokpi.
Most of these Kuki terrorists are in fact the expelled refugees from Myanmar and Bangladesh for waging wars against these countries. The narco-terrorists (the expelled Kukis grow poppies wherever they settle) also burned down many religious sites of the Meities who are Hindus or Christians (according to their own choices).
Inspite of the above facts, Mr. Zoramthanga is callously trying to depict the above heinous crimes as had been committed by the Meities only. The Club expresses that all these facts will one day be exposed and come to light in due course of time.
The Meiteis will not mind had Mr. Zoramthanga let the Zo-Kukis settle in Mizoram but not in Manipur if he cares so much for them. It is a historical fact that the present Mizoram was once a part of Lushai Hills of the then Assam State whereas Manipur before merger with India in 1949 was an Independent kingdom with more than 2000 years of living history.
It is pointedly expressed by the Club that it does not mind if the Kukis leave the state of Manipur if they do not want to live under its government. But the people of Manipur will oppose tooth and nail their demand for a separately administered area within the state of Manipur.
