Kalchini tea plantation workers stage protest

MP | 19 July 2023 : On Wednesday, workers of Kalchini tea garden gheraoed the manager’s office with a charter of demands, including payment of wages, salary, PF, and gratuity for the workers.

Krishna Oraon, worker, said, “Several workers have not received their weekly wages. Gate meetings like this will be held until Saturday. If our demands are not met during this period, we will stop all work in the garden starting from Monday.”
