Rahul Gandhi expressed his deep concern about the Law and Order situation of Manipur.

Rahul met the Governor Ms Anusuiya Uikey 

KalimNews, Imphal, 30 June 2023: Rahul Gandhi, Ex-Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Member of Congress Party met the Hon’ble Governor, Manipur, Ms Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, Imphal and the Member kept the Hon’ble Governor informed about his visit to relief camps in Churachandpur, Imphal East and Bishnupur Districts and the hardships experienced by the inmates there who have been staying in the relief camps since the ethnic clash that broke out on 3rd May. 

He expressed his deep concern about the shortage of essential items like baby food, medicine of various ailments, those inmates faced untold miseries. Further, he also expressed his deep concern about the Law and Order situation in the State. 

He reiterated that his Party will extend fullest cooperation to bring peace and tranquility in the State so that the immemorial history of co-existence will maintain the status quo ante. 

Thereafter, Hon’ble Governor informed Shri Rahul Gandhi the common programme of actions already taken up/propose to be taken up by both the Central and State Governments to restore peace and tranquility and bring the situation under control through an amicable dialogue.
