Businessman abducted at gun-point in Siliguri

EOI, SILIGURI, 24 JUNE 2023: Prabhakar Singh, a businessman of Siliguri, was abducted at gunpoint from the Champasari area of the city at 6 a.m. on Saturday; putting the spotlight on growing incidents of crimes in Siliguri.

Prabhavak Singh runs a stall in the Regulated Market area of Siliguri.

Like everyday, he left home on Saturday morning to go to his stall.

At a distance of about 50 metres from the house, a group of people forced Prabhakar Singh to board a car on Champasari Main Road.

A woman who was an eyewitness to the entire incident alerted the family of the businessman.

Policemen from Pradhan Nagar Police Station reached the spot. They are examining the CCTV footage in the Champasari area.
