EOI, GANGTOK, APRIL 8, 2023 :Former chief minister and Sikkim Democratic Front leader Pawan Kumar Chamling today met Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Raj and discussed with him various issues relating to the state including the progress of the state in the last few decades, especially in the field of agriculture, tourism and education.
According to a media release the former CM apprised the Governor about the rising political violence in Sikkim and the failure of law and order. He raised the issue of the attack on JAC rally that left several injured..

“Since the formation of this government, SKM members have attacked me 68 times, they have attacked my party members and till this day, the FIRs have not been accepted. This is because it was ordered by PS Golay.
Sikkim is suffering from the terrorism of the ruling SKM party. People are terrorised and have lost their sense of security and personal freedom in the state. Apart from politically motivated assaults, Sikkim has also become home to A money laundering.
I appraised the Honourable Governor about national scams such as the MCX which has made Sikkim a haven for money laundering. Such instances of crime and instability in our border state is a danger to national security.
The Honourable Governor gave a peaceful hearing and in turn gave a very positive response during the fruitful meeting,’’ Chamling said in the media statement.
