Hamro Party demands investigation into GTA TET examination
Don't Miss
YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, APRIL 19, 2023: Hamro Party central committee spokesperson Shyam Gautam has alleged that there should be a high level investigation into the GTA TET examination.
He has also demanded the refund of the fee of Rs 270 per person paid by more than 40,000 educated unemployed people in the Darjeeling hills who had filled the TET examination form.
He said the TET test was just a gimmick to raise funds to fight elections. He alleged that the TET examination fund and the GTA relief fund had been used for fighting the assembly election in the Darjeeling hills.
He said all the details of the GTA relief fund raised for tea garden workers should be made clear to the common people. Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Sabhasad C. B. Gurung said the TET examination was held when the GTA was running as a nominated body.
Currently there was an elected body and the Primary Education Department of the GTA had written to the West Bengal Government to know about the status of the TET examination.
The report had not yet been received by the GTA Education Department and would be released for the common people as soon as it was received.
