KalimNews, Kalimpong 21 April 2023:  “BJP does not want any division of north Bengal. Stand of Bharatiya Janata Party is clear, it is as before and not changed. If anyone has any demand, they may talk to the Centre regarding it and the government will look after it for a solution", National vice president of BJP Dilip Ghosh said in Kalimpong during his visit on 21 April 2023..
He said that I am here to take stock of the organizational activities of the party. 
Speaking on the issue of 11 Gorkha Tribes for granting in Scheduled Tribe status, he said that there are various matters pending since many years and our party is serious on them. Centre government along with our party workers and MP is doing the needful. Discussion is going on but the role of the state government is important and the three must sit together for the solution. The process is ongoing but we are not receiving the cooperation of the state government.
On questiong regarding the Panchayat election, he said, "BJP is ready for the Panchayat election and I am here to inspect all booth level preparation and discuss regarding it. BJP is focusing on strengthening the organisation starting from booth level."
"BJP will fight tooth and nail in the Panchayat election and also will be victorious. BJP would contest the election along with its alliance partners, he further added.
District president Kalyan Dewan and others were present in the party office while Ghosh was addressing the Press in Kalimpong.
