Aveek Majumdar seeks to step down as chairman of Expert Committee of School Education department

MP, 27 Mar 2023, Kolkata: The chairman of the Expert Committee of School Education under the state School Education department Aveek Majumdar has written to the state Education department Secretary Manish Jain seeking to be relieved from the post.
State Education minister Bratya Basu during a press conference at Bikash Bhavan had said that Majumder wanted to be relieved from the post in order to return to teaching at the university.
He has sought to work as an advisor to keep being associated with the committee while indulging in other engagements.
After Majumdar steps down, the post will be vacant about which the minister had said that a new chairman will be appointed shortly.
