Female workers were plucking tealeaves at section 7 of the tea garden when a leopard suddenly appeared and attacked Fatima Lakra, injuring her I the palm and arm. Her friends managed to rescue her by pushing the animal back to the forest are.
Lakra was soon rushed to the health center of the tea garden but was referred to North Bengal Medical College Hospital as the wound was deep after her friends managed to rescue by pushing the animal back to the forest area.
