Kalimpong festival to promote rural tourism

YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, JANUARY 31, 2023: The Kalimpong district level tourism festival named Himalayan Bengal Carnival was held at Chuikhim Forest Ground Tuesday.
The carnival has been held separately in Darjeeling, Kursong and Kalimpong. The festival was held at Chukhim Forest Ground under the organization of Chuikhim Village Society. Homestays owners of Kafer, Charkhol, Lole Village, Pabung, Barbot, Chuikhim, Nok Danda and Nimbong and other places participated in the festival.
The festival was held to promote rural tourism in the region. An exhibition of ethnic dances and ancient lifestyle was included in the program. Gorkhaland Deputy Chairman Sanchabir Subba was present.
There was an exhibition of food and organic food that was eaten by the ancestors
